Trying to get Google to diagnose a problem with Google Wallet card. On the plus side, I did get a friendly and helpful tech after minimal time on hold. On the down side, he can’t figure out why a valid card with a balance is being declined when I try to use it. (Also, apparently Google’s hold music was written by a robot on crack.)

    Hmm, last I knew only credit cards were accepted, not debit cards.

    No, this is the actual Google Wallet card, which is a debit MasterCard that draws against your Google Wallet balance. It got declined at Rickers and at Taco Bell last week, and Google says there’s no reason that it shouldn’t have worked. Joy joy. So now I get to go try it again.
